Welcome

A flagship of Ghana Telecom, the Training Centre is one of a kind in the country, and along the West Coast of Africa.  It is a centre of excellence for communication technology training  and has been in existence since 1945.  It was first used as a Royal Air Force (RAF) Training School during the Second World War and subsequently handed to Cable and Wireless to train Telecommunications Technicians for British West African Countries i.e. Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and the Gambia.

The Training Centre has since progressed rapidly through deregulation and privatisation to become the main source of teaching and certification in Telecommunications Engineering for Ghana Telecom employees as well as GT's competitors, in West Africa.  As another milestone in GTTC's progression, there are plans to upgrade it to University Status which will make it the newest and most specialized institution in Ghana.
